Voting Redux
OK, OK, I voted, but look at the results for my riding:
| Libby Davies | NDP | 23927 |
| David Haggard | LIB | 9907 |
| Elizabeth Pagtakhan | CON | 5631 |
| Christine Ellis | GRN | 2536 |
| Bryce Bartholomew | CAP | 293 |
That’s a margin of over 30%.
(And, no, I didn’t vote for Bryce.)

Your previous rant also reminded me how easy voting is here in Finland compared to Canada, and especially the US. Way more advanced polling, polling stations all over the place (shopping malls, the university, etc). Finland For Thought has some more thoughts (as well as the now long-running soap opera of Conan O’Brien’s support for the current president Tarja Halonen in the current election).

Interesting. There were a couple of letters to the editor in yesterday’s Vancouver Sun complaining about how hard it was to vote. In those two cases, people tried to vote either outside their riding or at the wrong polling station in the riding. They were turned away in both cases.

BS”D
I would never vote for a dude named “Bryce”.

But would you vote for Tarja or Sauli? There’s the real poser.
