A new father was **jailed** for kissing his **infant** son’s belly and getting “caught” on camera.

    Yeah, that’s what I thought too, although some reports claimed that it wasn’t his belly he was kissing… and that the father also made his six-year old daughter kiss the baby there too. More likely is that overzealous police and prosecutors got completely out of hand. It probably didn’t help that the poor guy is Arab and defended the practice (whatever the ‘practice actually was) as being part of their culture, so easy scapegoat.
